Aquatic Angels ♥

9 Novembre 2011 - Lexington Avenue Armony, New York ... è proprio qui che ha avuto luogo il Victoria's Secret Fashion Show e per chi non avesse assistito direttamente o indirettamente all'evento vi assicuro che definirla una sfilata è alquanto riduttivo! La lingerie Victoria's Secret esibita dagli splendidi Angeli, è curata in ogni minimo dettaglio e ci riporta in un'atmosfera surreale che definirei quasi fiabesca, ma non è tutto perchè le 38 modelle si sono esibite sui ritmi sfrenati di canzoni di famosi artisti come Kayne, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj e i Maroon 5. Ogni canzone si abbinava perfettamente al tema della sfilata, divisa in 6 segmenti : Ballet, Superangels, Passion, Aquatic Angels, I Put A Spell On You e Pink. Ogni segmento lascia a bocca aperta, ma da come potrete capire dal titolo di questo post e dal video, il mio preferito è stato senza dubbio quello degli Aquatic Angels e non solo per i preziosi costumi fatti di conchiglie, pietre brillanti e piume che facevano sembrare le modelle delle vere e proprie sirene, ma anche perchè è stato fantastico vedere quei costumi sfilare accompagnati da "Moves Like Jagger" cantata dal vivo dai Maroon 5, uno dei gruppi che più mi piace. Vedere il bel Adam Levine accompagnare per tutta la passerella la sua fidanzata Anne Vyalitsyna mentre cantava, per poi darle un bacio è stato del tutto insolito ed emozionante.

November 9, 2011 - Armony Lexington Avenue, New York ... it is here that the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show took place, and for those who had not witnessed it directly or indirectly I can assure that is so simplistic to call it only a fashion show! Victoria's Secret lingerie performed by the beautiful Angels, is cured in every little detail and bring us in a surreal fairy-tale, but it is not all because the 38 models have paraded on the wild rhythm of songs performed by famous artists such as Kayne, Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj and Maroon 5. Every song fits perfectly with the theme of the parade, divided into 6 segments: Ballet, Superangels, Passion, Aquatic Angels, I Put A Spell On You and Pink. Each segment is astonishing but, as you can understand from the title of this post and from the video, my favorite one was undoubtedly the Aquatic Angels not only for their valuable costumes made ​​of shells, diamonds and feathers that made the models real sirens, but also because it was great to see those costumes parade accompanied by "Moves like Jagger" sung live by Maroon 5, one of the groups that I like the most. Seeing the beautiful Adam Levine accompanying his girlfriend Anne Vyalitsyna for the entire walkway while singing, and then giving her a kiss was very unusual and exciting.

Nelle ultime due foto Miranda Kerr, che (come avrete visto nel video) ha dato esordio al segment sfilando per prima soprattutto tra gli applausi del marito Orlando Bloom, indossa il "Fantasy Treasure Bra", del valore di $ 2,5 milioni di dollari....un reggiseno ornato da una composizione di quasi 3.400 pietre preziose tra cui diamanti gialli e bianchi che cade nel mezzo e funge da nappa. Nella sfilata il costume acquista importanza soprattutto per il contorno da vongola che lo rende un tesoro ancora più prezioso. Nelle interviste prima dello show la stessa Miranda ha dichiarato di sentirsi una vera sirena indossando il suo costume e credo sia davvero impossibile non sentirsi in questo modo indossando un capolavoro simile!

In the last two photos Miranda Kerr, who (as you could have seen in the video) stars the segment as the top model accompanied especially by the applause of her husband Orlando Bloom, she strutted her envy worthy body wearing the $2.5 million dollars "Fantasy Treasure Bra." The bra is encrusted with nearly 3,400 precious gems including yellow and white diamonds which falls right in the middle which served as the tassel. The costume is presented with a clam contour which makes it a more precious treasure. In earlier interviews prior to the show, the same Miranda said that she feels mermaid-like when she is wearing the luxurious bra and i think that it's really impossible to doesn't feel this way, wearing a masterpiece like this!

Le persone più attente ai dettagli si saranno sicuramente accorte che Kanye West, mentre si esibisce in "Stronger" e in "N in Paris" con Jay-Z (durante e dopo il segment Superangels) , indossa il bomber della capsule collection Versace per H&M! 

People who pay more attention to details will have surely noticed that Kanye West, while performing in "Stronger" and "N in Paris" with Jay-Z (during and after Superangels segment), is wearing a bomber jacket of the Versace's capsule collection for H&M!

Insomma complessivamente è stata una sfilata scenografica e meravigliosa anche se meglio da guardare piuttosto che da parteciparvi!!! Per tutto questo, infatti, esiste un prezzo perchè per sfilare in passerella con i preziosissimi capi di Victoria’s Secret, gli Angeli si sottopongono a una dieta più che ferrea, ed è proprio la celebre top model Adriana Lima a dichiararlo in un'intervista al Telegraph :  Il nutrizionista le prescrive frullati di proteine e vitamine (uova in polvere e drink proteici) e quattro litri di acqua al giorno. A nove giorni dalla sfilata sono premessi solo frullati di proteine, a dodici ore prima della sfilata niente più liquidi.

Overall it was a spectacular and wonderful fashion parade, even if better to watch rather than participate!!! There is a price, in fact, for all this because for the catwalk with the precious head of Victoria's Secret, Angels are subjected to a rather than iron diet, and it is just the famous supermodel Adriana Lima to declare it in an interview to the Telegraph: the nutritionist prescribes her vitamins and protein shakes (powdered eggs, and protein drinks) and four liters of water per day. Nine days before the show is prefixed only protein shakes, twelve hours before the parade no longer liquid.
