Audrey is in Rome!!!

.... Ed è stata proprio Roma la città nella quale la bellissima Audrey ha trascorso le sue "tre vite": qui l'attrice ha vissuto brillanti e decisivi momenti della sua carriera artistica ricordando appunto Vacanze romane, Guerra e pace e La storia di una monaca, ma soprattutto nella capitale ha trascorso 25 anni di quotidianità in qualità di donna, moglie e madre; mostrando per di più una forte sensibilità e un forte impegno sociale. Pochi sanno infatti che la Hepburn ha dedicato una parte importantissima della sua vita in qualità di Ambasciatrice di Buona Volontà dell'UNICEF, la “terza carriera” che l’attrice amava definire.

And it was Rome, the city in which the beautiful Audrey has spent her "three lives":  here the actress has lived brilliant and decisive moments of her career just remembering Roman Holiday, War and Peace and The Nun's Story, but especially she spent in the capital 25 years of daily life as a woman, wife and mother, showing sensitivity and a strong social commitment. Infact few people don't know that Hepburn has dedicated a great part of her life as an UNICEF's Goodwill Ambassador, the "third career" she loved to define.

Il 50° anniversario del celebre film Colazione da Tiffany e il Festival Internazionale del Film di Roma,  sono sembrate le occasioni perfette per celebrare Audrey con una mostra che racconta attraverso immagini, video e oggetti personali queste tre vite vissute a Roma da diva del cinema, mamma e Ambasciatrice. La mostra, presso il museo dell'Ara Pacis, contiene una raccolta inedita e irripetibile di 200 scatti quasi "rubati" che la ritraggono a passeggio per la città, in famiglia, all'aeroporto, alle prime dei suoi film, le sue missioni UNICEF, talvolta anche situazioni irriverenti.....fotografie e, come abbiamo detto anche video, in cui si coglie la lenta trasformazione dell'irragiungibile diva di Hollywood che afferma il suo successo in Italia, stabilisce qui la sua vita e allontanandosi dalla scena negli anni '70 costruisce un fortissimo legame con la città. Ma non è tutto, naturalmente saranno presenti ABITI E ACCESSORI, immancabili per poter descrivere il rapporto che aveva con la moda questa immortale icona dello stile. Potremmo dunque rifarci gli occhi con creazioni di Givenchy, Valentino e tanti altri che rappresentano al meglio il modo di vestire di quel periodo, e non solo con i celeberrimi vestiti e accessori che contribuirono a creare il suo stile inconfondibile, ma anche nella vita di tutti i giorni.
Il tributo alla grande star nella "sua" Roma servirà alla raccolta fondi per la lotta alla malnutrizione infantile sostenuto dal Club Amici di Audrey per UNICEF.

The 50th anniversary of the famous movie Breakfast at Tiffany's and the International Film Festival of Rome, seemed to be the perfect occasion to celebrate Audrey through images, videos and personal items that represents these three lives lived in Rome as a movie star, mom and Ambassador. The exhibition at the Ara Pacis' Museum, contains a collection of unusual, and  unique, 200 shots "stolen" which shows the actress walking through the city, with the family, at the airport, at the first of her films, her UNICEF's missions, sometimes irreverent  pictures and situations, also videos, which captures the slow transformation of the unreachable Hollywood diva who claims her success in Italy, lays down her life here and, once moved away from the scene in the 70, establishes a strong link with the city.
But that's not all, of course there will be CLOTHES AND ACCESSORIES, inevitable in order to describe the relationship that this immortal style icon had with fashion. We can therefore feast one’s eyes on creations by Givenchy, Valentino and many others who best represent the clothing style of that period, and not only with the famous clothes and accessories that made her style unique, but also with clothes she used to wear in everyday's life.
The tribute to the great star in "her" Rome will serve to raise funds for the fight against child malnutrition  supported by Friends of Audrey for UNICEF.
